Morning technical legends,

I have been sent some artwork that I need to view but the files seem to have been created using some version of Adobe Photoshop (which I do not own). I tried windows ''use the web'' thing but when I went onto the homepage of the program it selected (think it was called file viewer something or other) ESET went mental and disconnected me from the page. Obviously I'm not going to try that one but does anyone know of another free program that I can use to view these files?

Thanks.

I think you may be right about the online service, that's a VERY large file!

Had to be ".psd" ( there aren't many others of importance except .ai ) and any file would usually be 'a large file' from an AP user ... but I'll keep out of this...:¬)

Think the file types were called something like a psd? I think the problem I had with the online viewer could possibly have been due to the massive file sizes (around 700MB per pic). These files are to be used for poster artwork so will be printed very large. I could of course be talking right out of my bum, if so please ignore all of the above!

Thanks again for the help guys, massively appreciated.

Morning Pete! :¬)

Pixlr a free online graphics editor is safe. Nothing to install etc.

If that doesn't do the trick for you let us know what the filetypes are.

I've used it in the past - it gets a mention here: Creating a transparent png overlay so I know it can get you out of trouble.

EDIT: *Too slow* must try harder ;¬)

Morning pete. What's the file extension of the mentioned files? If the extension is " .ai ", then it's an Adobe Illustrator file which can be viewed in Adobe Reader and then saved as .pdf

If not and they are Photoshop files try Irfanview:
