I see you can pick up a Jap copy for under twenty quid, not a Mario beater I guess. Anyone got a copy of seen a proper review ?

This is from a import website:

"The game isn't intended to be entirely serious -- there's a battle mode and wacky mini-games to go with the traditional championship and time attack -- but this is still a bit more in a familiar kart-racing vein, with the character emphasis that's common to the genre The PlayStation 2 already has its share of goofy multiplayer kart racers (indeed, this seems to be a genre that no system lacks a supply of), but Bomberman's particular style has and will always draw attention. The cartoonish graphics and iconic special effects (like steam puffs spouting from the the ears of an offended Bomber) are plenty cute, and the strange, beady-eyed, eyebrowless Bomberman design is beginning to grow on me after an indifferent first impression"
