There are many games being released, in most cases they fit into specific 'genres', some are stubborn and go about defying everything - these are usually the most underrated, but most highly original games, but the point I'm raising is - how do you play your gaming?

There are RPGs, FPSs, Racing, Sports, Puzzle games, music games, fighting games, adventure games, platform games, arcade style games and so on... but how do you play them?

Yes, with a control pad - but do you find yourself more often than not in front of your television alone, but engrossed in the latest Role Playing 'classic' game? Or do you always seem to have hoards of people crowding round your PS2 or N64, whatever console it may be - indulging in multiplayer heaven?

I prefer sports games, extreme sports games - maybe even racing games, and fighting games to the adventure and RPG titles simply because more people can play them - they're designed for more than one person in mind (although there is very likely to be a single player mode), and I believe that multiplayer gaming is good - for social gaming. However, that's not to say that playing on your own for 30 hours in a game is a bad thing.

When you play with a few mates, have a few beers - it's ok to be playing, you're not going out anywhere, maybe you should have some more exercise, need some more exercise to work off that Christmas dinner, but it's ok! If you're not the only one not exercising then it's ok - well, that's often my philosophy, I'm sure my stomach doesn't agree. Socialising is a very important part of everybody’s lives, and everyone likes to play games, right? So it's good that we can find common ground to beat the hell out of each other, without actually getting hurt - thank you Tekken for that.

I've played through my fair share of single player titles, roaming about aimlessly, getting sidetracked in the wonderfully created scenery and totally forgetting about the main mission at hand, but when you do partake in such games, like Final Fantasy, like Shenmue and even in Resident Evil - they're one player games, just for you, is it just me or do these games always give a greater sense of achievement once you've completed them? You'll also learn more about yourself in a one player game, you're on your own for a fair period of time - space out or otherwise, and in my view it is good to talk to yourself, swear at your television and throw cushions at the wall - it's healthy to feel emotion when playing games (just make sure you don't break anything), single player games are brilliant, although for me I do prefer multi player titles - probably because I'm useless at single players!

Then there are games that you can play with your family - the 'game show games', games that you physically feel sick playing on your own because they're so poor, but sometimes you should give a little back - if you get the Weakest Link or WWTBAM? on your games console from your parents, or loved ones then give a little something back to them by making them sit through hours of decrepit gameplay and tedious loading times - but they will like them, you'll have a chuckle at how they don't know how to use the control pad, and how they leap up in their chair when they get a question right, or reach that £1million mark
in the game with the invisible Chris Tarrant.

Now and then we get a completely original game released - the equity of the games firm will more than likely determine it's success (should it actually be a decent game, most original titles are) and we can all sit back, admire it - and then wait for the sequel, for it to never actually arrive - but that's ok. We don't want a MacLaren F1 '2', '3' and four, do we...

Games can be played on your own, in groups, as teams, or in a huddle, around a camp fire in a wooden cavern, somewhere in the snow covered hills in Canada (Imagines owls hooting and wolves howling), but however you play, I am sure you will agree - games are great - how do you play yours?

Whose apology are you accepting? Your own? Surely that defies logic, convention and sanity? Fair enough!

My Mistake - I meant a 'Just Arrived', not a 'Newbie'!

I think the word JEALOUSY comes to mind when people complain about a newbie writing such a good post. Why don't the rest of you stop complaining and get a brain so that maybe you could right something of this standard.

I would like to thank my fans!

Well, people - you should discuss the topic instead of questioning whether it is copied or not. If it's copied then my mind copies other people's minds, as I remember writing it myself...

Electric Hedgehog, I have faith that you didn't copy this... I liked that topic you wrote in Life forum, and you seem a very capable writer... I think Ferrero is jealous!

They assume it is copied as many JAT's are useless spammers who are more interested in (I quote from some now banned JAT) "having a cyber". If you did indeed write it then I congratulate you as it is worthy of a GAD. However, if if is copied you will probably be found out by the ultimate cheater hunter - MR NICE GUY.

When I get a new game I always try to control the character by using telekinesis but for some reason I always end up with a migraine.
