Is it possible to have a 2 player game with 2 GBAs, a link cable and one copy of a game? The review of Mario Kart on this site says it is, the instruction manual says each player needs a copy of the game. Help please!

Well, it all depends on what game you want to play. Some games, Mario Kart for example, can be played with only one cartridge....but with limited options. A few more games like this are F-Zero: Maximum Velocity and Super Mario Advance. Some games can only be played with 2 cartridges. And some games can only be played with one cartridge, two of these games being Bomberman Tournament and ChuChu Rocket.

Mario Kart's 2 player mode:

If you're only playing with one cartridge, you can only race on four courses, and can only race as Yoshi. If you are playing with more than cartridge, you can race only any courses you have unlocked and as any character, plus you can also enter the battle mode and exchange time trial ghosts.

I hope that's helped you out.
