This is my first Review, if i'm doing something wrong, please tell me, and reply with what u think on it. Hope u like:-

Which way do you feel about Wrestling? Do you think it's all about gay oiled up men touching each others bodies, your wrong. No, infact your completely wrong. Wrestling is a sport, which is played in many countries such as USA and Japan. Wrestling used to be 2 men brawling in the ring, trying to win. Things have all changed now though, it has changed dramatically over the years, it has come from being the boring slow non-action show, to becoming more of a soap opera with un-predictable feuds and fights. This has all changed due to one man and federation, The WWF-World Wrestling federation, and Vincent K. McMahon.
Wrestling has changed, would it be the same with no Triple H and The Rock feuds, or the famous feuds between Kurt Angle and Stonecold, Or What about certain wrestlers kissing peoples a*ses? the answer is 'No'.

Wrestling games have gone from WWF Warzone To WWF Attitude, from WWF No Mercy to WWF Wrestlemania. Then, the licence changed hands, from Acclaim to THQ, and then it was a whole new Wrestling game experience!
THQs first WWF installment was WWF Smackdown. This game had the first real season mode, with the infamous cut-scenes, interactive wrestlers etc. WWF Smackdown was a huge step for wrestling games, until along came WWF Smackdown!2 Know Your Role.
SD!2 was the same as SD!1, with a more advanced story mode, tweaked graphics, more wrestlers, and most importantly the new match modes. Along came the hell In A Cell, and the Ladder Match, and these matches really were Great. Falling 15ft from the top of the Hell In A Cell, or Falling from the top of the ladder, through a table really was good action to keep you entertained for months.

After the first two WWF Games from THQ, they announced there forth coming title, a first for the PS2, WWF Smackdown! Just Bring It. THQ had promised a huge improvement over the first 2 in the series, but did the fans get what they really want? No, not at all.
This game ain't all bad, it is a brilliant game if you have never played or own a Smackdown! before. The problem with this game, is it just wasn't different enough. THQ had said there would be a full size Hell In A Cell, but nope, we don't see it this year. The Hell In A Cell is exactly the same as last years, you get punched, fall over the edge through an announcer table, and get up within 5 seconds. This game is way too fast, it takes literally about 10 knocks to the head with a steal chair to knock the opponent down to the ground, but yet they still get straight back up.
If the speed was a bit, no, a lot slower then people would enjoy the gameplay much more.
There are of course good points about this game also, the graphics have been improved greatly. The Arenas look so lifelike, and the crowd look good. The player faces are also amazing, same with there bodies, maybe a bit to muscely, but are still really good.
One other thing that THQ promised, is Full Entrances. Instead of the old titantron video in the background, and the wrestler aimlessly walking, they will now make there way to the ring, with pyro and decent quality music.
THQ have bought us just that, and they are amazing.
I would say that the entrances are the biggest and best update of SD!JBI from SD!2.
Another big point in wrestling games, is the CAW(create a wrestler). THQ have gone from Smackdown 1's annoying change the head, top and bottom, to customising every feature on the face, from a hat to the cheeks, this is definately the best CAW in a wrestling game yet.
Sound, a weak spot in previous Smackdowns, and i'm afraid to say it's a weak spot in JBI as well. The crowd don't react to big moves, don't chant and don't make any noise even though the developers said they would.
Lasting period, probably about a week or two for the hardcore gamer. When you finish the season mode, which really does take 30 mins max, all you have to do is Exhibition, which can get boring and repetetive after a while.
The worst point of Smackdown though, has got to be the season mode. This is a huge disapointment, the SD!2 season play was much better. When you turn it on, load it up, you think, "oh yeah, this is really cool!" and it is, until u win your match and unlock something, when it returns to the main screen. You have to go through exactly the same season every single time, until u unlock every single item. There are 2 pathways, Tag, or Single, and it goes on from there. If you want to buy this game for the season play, don't! i would go out and buy Smackdown!2 if u want a good season play.

Lastly, a quick sum up. If you want a game for season, don't buy this, if your looking for a good gameplay, graphics etc. then this is the title for you. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone though. Hopefully, they will bring us a huge improvement for the Smackdown!4, if it comes out, i'm sure they will get it right that time round!

Aint read the review, i'll do that in a min, but in answer to your topic name, i dont think it was worth the wait, having played it for the first time and never playing the others, i found it slow and unresponsive, and just crap really. The graphics are ok, but not great, even a customer walked into where i work and said that they thought the ps2 was better than that, especailly as you could see the wrestlers go throught the ropes.

The 4000 character limit is a b***h, especially when you dont know it's there.

No chance of winning anything in the WWF forum - believe me.

I've always prefered the AKI games...more realistic.

Yeah, that's the one. The only downside is the 4000 characters bit. Try shortening it-get rid of the first paragraph as it hasn't got anything to do with the actual game, and see how much that leaves.

Why they didn't put PPV in Smack Down 3 is beyond me. I think that SD3 has better graphics but SD2 has better gameplay. I can remember when I first got SD2 I played it forever because it had the neer endng story mode but now they have changed it to three matches game over. What is wrong with them.

I tell you what, go to ukreviews.com, search for Smackdown JBI, go into it, and click on a link entitled something like "Your Comments." Then, put this review in there and you'll have a chance of winning Gameaday Prize 2.

And you could still win with it in the WWF Forum, but you've got more chance of winning Prize 2.
