The GameCube title Metroid Prime has walked away with three awards, including Game of the Year, at a major industry conference.
The game also picked up the award for Excellence in Level Design, while developer Retro Studios won the Rookie of the Year gong at the ceremony at the Game Developers Conference in California.
Metroid Prime, which is only available for the GameCube, is due to be released in Europe on 21 March.
Among the other games honoured at the event were the World War II titles Battlefield 1942 and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.
