It does not matter how good the console is, what matters is how good the games are, after all it is the games that sell the console. So then, let us have a look at what games are to appear on the GameCube and who is making them.

Nintendo:
Shigeru Miyamoto is supposedly working on a project that is so brilliant and obvious it is going to shock us all. There will be a new Zelda. Yes it was shown as cartoony but it may come out as not so like that after the reception that it got at Spaceworld. Some people have a feeling there may be something else, perhaps a multiplayer Mario Brother with Wario and people like that in it.

Mario - Yes of course there will be the Mario Sunshine game out in August in Japan and that 100 Marios demo is apparently a game as well. We'll find out.
Luigi - Well as we all know there is Luigi's Mansion and it did well in Japan but maybe a Maio Luigi game could be in th works.
And there will also be Metroid, Zelda (which I really couldn't care about), Pokemon and some other big Ninty things.

Nintendo Software Technology Corporation (NST)
NST is based within Ninty's grounds and has just complete it conversion of Ridge Racer to the N64. Nintendo Power (NOA in house magazine) has stated that NST are now shifting their power to GameCube games. NST have not made their own original games but instead have have worked on licenses, if this will change for the GameCube is unknown. There is (CONFIRMED) a Mario Kart game on it's way to GC.

Rare - Not much to be known about Rare. They are top secret but here are some of the games.
Donkey Kong Racing
Killer Instinct 3D
Mickey Mouse
Perfect Dark 2
Jet Force Gemini 2
Donkey Kong GameCube
Blast Corps 2
Banjo-Kazooie 3

Factor 5

Thornado

A super-fast 3D action blaster where we have to defend the Earth from aliens. You have two characters to select, a man or a woman, and a number of different levels. To assist you on your task you have a number a weapons at your disposal. The majority of the weapons are based on wind (hence the name Thornado). Should be one cracker of a game, and for you enjoyment here is some music from the game (supposedly), in .mp3 format.

Acclaim
Turok, Shadowman, Re-Volt, Forsaken will all be in deveopment - on the new platforms with leading-edge software.

Capcom
Street Fighter 3 is at the top of my list, now that Nintendo have ditched the cartridge Capcom should deliver.

Leftfield
Developing Sports games for the launch

Retro Studios
Developing launch titles. Demo of an American Football game was shown at the Game Developers Conference 2000. Other Sprots titles are apparently in development.

Codemasters
Codemasters have said that they are looking at GameCube and are definately considering developing for the system. They are currently looking at bringing MTV Music Generator to the system.

Saffire
Saffire, the developers behind N64 Rainbow Six, have stated that they are be developing for GameCube. They have numerous games in development, which include: Saffire (Young Olympians), a FPS, an Off-Road Racer and a racing or fighting game which will be published by Titus.

Rockstar Games
Rockster have the rights to develop games based on the two Austin Powers Movies and have said that they will be bringing the games to GameCube. Hopefully a GTA game won't be far off either.

LucasArts
Rogue Leader is looknig stunning but it is the only game that Lucas Arts are focusing on right now.

Titus
Titus are currently developing a Robocop shooter for the GameCube. Here's what Frederic Oualid had to say about the game after giving it a glance Unfortunately, Titus France is keeping the game very secret, but from what we have seen, it looks amazing. Titus will also be publishing a game by Saffire (see above).

Angel Studios
Angel Studios, part of the original N64 Dream Team, have confirmed that they will be developing for GameCube, but have not stated what is in development.

Silicon Studio
Silicon Studio is a subsiduary of Japan SGI subsiduary, and they have stated that "preliminary assessments" are under way on GameCube. It is unkown what games wil be developed.

Midway
Midway will be bringing games based on the Gravity Games series to Nintendo's GameCube. What are Gravity Games? "Aggressive inline skating, downhill skateboarding, skateboarding, street luge, wakeboarding (whatever that is) and freestyle motocross". Sounds good.

Konami
Konami will be bringing all their greats to the GameCube. Track and Field is one franchise that might be ready for launch. The game is already out for Playstation 2, and Konami's long standing relationship with Nintendo provides a great opportunity to develop a Track & Field title for the GameCube.
Konami will also be brining ISS to the GameCube.

Player 1

These guys who are quite a new company will be brining Robotron to GC.

Promethean Designs
This Uk-based company are working on Picassio for the GameCube. The game, which is also planned for PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast, sees you competing to steal high priced art using a variety of gadgets and techniques. The game might also support face-mapping via the Game Boy Camera.

HotGen Studios
Not sure what they have planned, but "a massively multiplayer international sports title" in development without a specific platform.

EA
EA have been looking into GameCube and will be developing games for the console. Expect FIFA, Tiger Woods golf games etc.

UbiSoft
UbiSoft will be publishing Dinosaur for the GameCube. The game is going to based on the Disney movie and set as an action adventure. They are also developing a Donald Duck game for the GameCube, which is supposedly already in development. UbiSoft will also be bringing VIP, the bodyguard TV program starring Pamela Anderson Lee, to GameCube. Let's hope the game will be better than the series, one thing is certain, the acting can't be any worse. UbiSoft are also publishing a game based on the animated feature "The Road to El Dorado", which is being developed by Light and Shadow Productions.

Sandbox Studios
Sandbox Studios is a new developer first formed in early 1999, and they are yet to make a game for the N64. However they have already stated that:
Sandbox Studios will develop some awesome multiplayer games for next generation consoles including X-box.

Silicon Knights
Nintendo have signed a deal with Silicon Knights to make them a second-party developer. Apparently the two firms are working together closely to develop games for the GameCube. "Quality always has been the Nintendo mantra, so investing in Silicon Knights fits perfectly with our corporate goal," explains Minoru Arakawa, Nintendo of America's president. "As our first joint project, Eternal Darkness will surprise and amaze gamers -- we will introduce yet another dimension of game play."

Eidos
Eidos stated that they have stopped developing for the Dreamcast in order to concentrate their powers on next generation consoles such as GameCube. No news on what they will be developing. Ian Livingstone, CEO, said, "We have some projects that are definately going to go on Dolphin."

Sonic Team
OK, this might sound a bit stupid, but Sonic Team has broken away from Sega and might develop games for other consoles. Here is what Yuji Naka (The Shigeru Miyamoto of Sega) said, "Anything is possible. I do not think highly of the PlayStation 2. There have been many problems with it. With GameCube and XBox, however, anything is a possibility. If I did decide to do something outside of Dreamcast, I would be inclined to go in that direction."

Thanks for reading, Afro.

That is how we should judge games in my opinion.

And the same counts for the

Very same from what I said above.

Thanks.

Nintendo did say though, that they were aiming for an older audience, then they go and change Zelda. Zelda was one of the few games that really appealed to teens, and now that it has been changed it will no longer appeal to the less-informed. Oh well. I suppose it is good though that the GameCube has got a LOT of the good PS2 games. Heh heh, that'll wipe the smiles off their faces.
