Is it me, or are video game characters REALLY good with their hands? An example? How about when Mr. Bond or Ms. Dark are toting two weapons (Uzi's, say), and need to reload. Let's say, they've just burst into a room and shot six guys. Damn, I hear more coming, better reload. The guns disappear (below screen) then, one second later, return, fully re-loaded. Surely it takes anyman (secret Agent or not) longer than a second to re-load ONE gun. So how do our characters do it?
Not a topic destined to win GAD, just one constructed from curiosity.

I know. A very neat touch I thought. But, how about when she has

I never actually noticed that - but I haven't played PD for ages. I'm surprised that nobody else has said what I'm about to say and that's that Max Payne is the best game for showing re-loading. As in PD, the bullets fly out and Max quickly re-loads - excellent! However, I wonder where he keeps his Molotov Cocktails?

If any of you mans have played Perfect Dark then you would have noticed Jo Dark does take a few seconds longer to re-load her weapons than in goldeneye. Also you do actually see her re-loading the weapon.

That is a downer with gaming (especially shoot em ups), realism.

This has come a long way though, remember that. 10 years ago, the gun would be a big stick and would fire out straight lines of bullets. 10 years on, we have improvements, with better guns, better bullets, but where are the clips. It would be good if they did reload for 2 or 3 seconds, because then it would be more realistic. Am I right?

"Then its all fantasy anyway does it really matter?"

Well, yes - if you're paying up to £44.99 it has to be damn good and damn detailed. This is much to the reason of why I never buy games over £29.99.

Haven't you seen Tomb Raider the movie where her clips drop from her back and she just slams her guns on top of the new clip. Who ever thought of that was a genius.
