The thing is you can join in and play in the tournament to be the UKs best gamer, check the site at

There are venues all over the place, but sadly none in Northern Ireland. If you are nearby to some of these places I would recomend you definitly go and compete.

Heh, there's one in Birmingham, but I can't be arssed.
The fact that I have some exams starting the day after, and that I'm crap at games, has put me off a little ;-)

I see there's a venue in Cardiff. Perhaps Edgy and I will go check it out.
Thing is with these competitions, it comes down to who gets to play the games they've covered. The best gamer isn't likely to be found as such, it'll just come down to who owns or has the most experience on the games they put out in the challenges.
For me, the best challenges are on basing things on 1 game title. I was the king of Streetfighter 2 awhile back. ;-)
Not to mention the likes of the Neo Geo fighters. ;-)
