Right, I'm on some secret mission where you have to kill 2 spiders.
It says 'lure them to their mutual death' but I can't seem to do that.
I eventually tried actually attacking them myself and killed both but once I left the level it said I had failed.
How do you complete it?

What level is that on?
I did it by luck, I just kept on jumping around and then I saw that only one spider was left, I killed it and when I went throught the doors, the words "secret mission clear" came on the screen.

Oh well, I just went past it.
I couldn't do it. One of the spiders died on 2 attempts without me hitting it, but that happened (both times) just seconds after I died.
So I tried taking one of them down to low health and then letting the other finish him off but it still said I failed. So I just carried on.
And I just got those gauntlet things. Ilfrit or something.

This secret leve is quite tricky. I found two ways to complete this secret level.
1) run inbetween the two spiders and hopefully they will spit rocks out in an attempt to hit you but hit each other.
2)run into a corner of the area and let both of them approch you. When they do get out of the corner and leg it to the other side of the area. As they chase after you the spider as the rear will spit rocks in an attempt to hit you but as one is behind the other they will often hit the one infront.
Only one spider has to kill the other. Once one has died you can safly kill the other and if this done correctly you should get a blue orb piece.
To make the whole thing a lot easier drop of the item that drains you energy first (sorry, i can't remember what it is called) then head back to the secret mission. This way you won't have to worry about falling short of energy.
