When Super Monkey Ball first-arrived on the Nintendo GameCube, we all went mad for the game based entirely around rolling a monkey around, in a ball. Even with its pad-smashingly-frustrating single-player puzzles, there isn't a single GameCube-owner out there who has played this game, thoroughly, and failed to see what so many of us have seen in it, after sampling the delights of the Party and Mini-Games.
And now that Super Monkey Ball 2 has finally arrived on these European shores (around 6-months-after it hit the US), things are set to get mental again - and by the looks of things, they already have...!

If you've played through the single-player mode of the original, you'll have probably gone and eased through the Beginner level, squeezed past Advanced, and 'probably' come to a sudden dead-end before Floor 10 of the Expert mode - without even the slightest glimps of the dreaded `Master Mode`. But just going through the very-first-50 floors of Super Monkey Ball has been enough to drive people crazy as they fall over-the-edge for that very-last-time, as, in some cases, the GameCube goes flying out their bedroom window, with that gamers sense of calmness and relaxation.
But what about the players who are... "different" to the rest of us? What about those who have actually COMPLETED the `Expert Mode`, and even gone-on to show SEGA's Amusement Vision that even `Master Mode` comes along as no obstacle to stand in their way, as the game becomes... fully-complete!
What has happened to this rare breed of so-called "normal" "people" who have since 3rd May 2002, defied all the odds, and done the impossible...??

After seeing the end-of-game Credits roll-along for that very-last-time, these gamers have found that even gaming itself is no longer a challenge they see as worthy of competing against, and have since moved on to other things.
Some went plainly insane, and soon found themselves locked-up inside rooms padded with cushions, and softness, while their upper-body remains doormant, deep-inside a straight-jacket... Others went on to try and discover the Secret and Meaning to Life itself, or to discover the existence of Time Travle - Back to the Future-style.... But as for the other few from around the globe... Life without 'Monkey Ball just wasn't the same. And so they went on to discover new ways to 'keep the ball rolling'...

They began by trying to recreate the lives of Aiai, Mimi, Baby, and GonGon, and their ball-rolling antics - only in the real-world this time, out from behind that TV screen!
But after a number of extensive tests, along with a huge decline in the population of all monkeys world-wide, aswell as the dissapearence of a number of materials used for the over-sized monkey's balls, it became apparent that this idea was never gonna take-off like they had hoped -- especially when the potential cost of recreating all 100+ monkey-ball Floors came to mind!!

And so with monkeys out of the question, along came a new idea envolving a more obvious solution that has already been put to use for a good number of years now, without too-many casualties and bad-points. And, it's a heck-of-a-lot-more cost-efficient also...! What am I babbling on about? Like you haven't noticed! :P
HAMSTERS - of course!! The only other mammals to have entered the spherical world, besides the Gladiators!
With their fit[and poo!]-in-the-palm-of-your-hand size, the oh-so-loveable look of cuteness, their lack of brain-power, and their smell -- "Super Hamster Ball" (as it has become known), has taken the "Monkey Ball Masters" by storm, and a new craze for people who just can't get enough 'Monkey Ball has taken over reallity!

But it's not just about letting them roll-freely along your living-room carpet anymore - Oh no!! With less to pay that what would've been with the monkeys and the apes; along with the fact that hamsters are so-much-smaller; these "genius'" of the modern-day world have been able to succesfully recreate every-last-one of those hair-rippingly-difficult Floors from the original Super Monkey Ball game - and they're even several thousand-feet above ground-level, also!
And if you thought they'd stop there, then you obviously haven't even heard of Super Monkey Ball! As every-single-one of those loveable Mini and Party-Games has also been constructed as hamsters become the first non-winged animals (for a long-time) to take to the skies, in `Hamster Target`. While over in China and the Middle East, illegal gambling agencies appear to have shut-shop on the do-fighting as `Hamster Fight` appears to be the new-big-thing to put all your money on! And you may even find now that your local bowling alley has added `Hamster Bowling` to its list of available activites; putting the arcades back-into-extinction.

But while everyone seems to have take to this new world-wide 'Hamster Ball' craze like a chimpanzee, in amongst a pile of fresh, ripe bananas; the hamster population appears to be on the downfall, and experts (no, not the 'Monkey Ball ones!) believe that could soon become as extinct as the Dodo - that mythical bird that was surely created from a bad drawing of a caveman, at the lowest-level of man's intelligence.

However, with an all-new Super Monkey Ball game released across-Europe on this-very-day, this whole `Hamster Ball`-craze is expected to die-down, just like it did in America, 6-months-ago... (For a day-or-two, at least, anyway....)

Anyway, I'm to go and play with some animals and their 'balls...
How have you been coping with the wait for this highly-anticipated sequel, 'Monkey Ball Masters'?
