Where the Hell did you get these figures?... According to a recent survey by Forrester, there are only 300+ million sites in the world that are indexed? Thats a lot less than 3 Billion? As for Logo duplication...
Untill it's registered as a trade mark or some form of copyright is obtained, duplication is perfectly legal. You only run into problems with type faces!!
