A 'wacky' Lord of the Rings fan has changed his name by deed poll to 'Sauron, the Dark Lord'.
There's a fine line between liking something, and being obsessed by something, as some of my stalkers will testify. Craig Jackson of Cheshire has stepped way, way over that line and has had his name changed by deed poll to Sauron, the Dark Lord. The 18 year old loved the Lord of the Rings series so much, he changed his moniker to that of the evil lord who seeks to take over Middle-Earth in the Tolkien books, soon to be hitting cinema screens all over the world. Bring back Harry Potter.
In his defence, Craig said: "I love the books and I can't wait for the film. I thought the name sounded right and has an air of mystery to it." On the contrary Craig, we think anyone who hears your 'name' will know exactly what kind of person you are. Craig, who paid £30 to change his name, plans to change his bank details to reflect his evil new name. Craig is supposedly 'looking forward' to getting his new name badge at the Warner Cinema where he works. Craig currently lives with his parents.
Now i was laughing at this right up until the bit where it went
"Craig currently lives with his parents."
Oh god how sad can you be! Anyway out of all the names he could have chosen he decided to be Sauron The dark lord most evil being ever etc etc
I would advise him to visit a Psychiatrist or at least get his own home!
Thankyou upwire for brightening my day.
