However, you may be able to flash your BIOS to get round this.
Physically, sticking the hard drive into your PC is no problem (just be careful with master/slave jumper settings if needed i.e. more than one divice daisy-chained). Is it a second hard drive or a replacement?
make sure the drive heads are alligned with the counter sunk readers. also, ensure the drive balance module is set to horizontal, and the discombobulator jumper setting is set to nuclear.
