If I type...

http://www

...into my Internet Explorer address bar, I am taken to http://www/index1.htm - web page for the Woolworths Group.

My boss gets the same.

Yet everyone else in the office gets a 'page could not be found' error message, which is exactly what I would expect.

Here at work, I'm using IE6 on Win98 SE with none of IE's automated search options switched on.

Surely that's not a legal URL?

What do *you* get? OS and Browser name/version please, if you can be bothered.

Harder than you think. This is a traditionally quiet time, as we're a direct marketing company, and the Xmas mailings have long since been despatched.

I should add that I discovered this by accident, catching the Enter key before typing the full URL of a certain company.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
