The third expansion for Fallout New Vegas takes us to the "Big MT" reasearch facility, where the world's most advanced technology was being developed by the world's greatest minds, at least that was the case before somebody pressed the big red button and the world went to hell..., 200 years later The Courier (that's you) stumbles across an Ancient crashed satellite and gets teleported away to parts unknown.
It turns out that the Big MT (or Big Mountain) is still very much running, only the "Mountain" seems to have gone walkies and the scientists are still alive and kicking... as floating brain powered robots, as if that wasn't crazy enough they have replaced The Courier's vital organs with mechanical substitutes to force him/her to help them defeat one of their former colleagues, who is erm... terrorizing them with an army of giant robotic scorpions of death, just by watching the opening cutscene it's obvious that Obsidian and Bethesda have heavily based the plot on 1950's Sci-Fi B movies and added plenty of Fallout's trademark twisted humour.
The Big MT, like Honest Heart's Zion Canyon, can be explored at your leisure, only it's much more interesting and fun this time around, as you plunder the depths of the various facilities that dot the area, you can learn how some of the Mojave's deadlier predators came to exist such as Nightstalkers and Cazadors, and you know how much fun they are... there are also plenty of quests to complete and long forgotten treasures to be found.
While OWB is certainly fun, there are a few problems with it, the first being that the main plot and quest is simply too short, even by add on standards and that's a great shame because it's clear that a hell of a lot of effort went into writing the script and dialogue which I might add is utterly hilarious, lastly your character has to be at least level 15 to have any chance at winning in combat which will no doubt frustrate newer players.
Despite this, OWB easily remains the best of the DLC lineup and it's going to take a lot to beat, as far as add ons are concerned you can't get much better than this.
