I was playing GT3 the other day and found I drove better with my favourite songs playing on a CD player. While this may seem ordinary for some of you it seemed odd for me as I cant usually stand playing games with the CD player on at the same time. I tried it without the music and my laptimes suffered (seriously) it makes you think why developers put certain music in games.

Do you know any good music for playing games to? (CD or otherwise)

I enjoyed particular tunes from GT3 so much that I set all the tunes to come in order. And yes, it did make me drive better and it gave a good feel to the game.

I think rock music suits driving games a lot than any other kind of music.
Did anyone like those dancing games like Bust-a-Groove, Parappa the Rappa and the rest?

I did, Parappa's my favourite, the rapping kicks butt!

In Gt3 you can accually take the game disk out and play a regular cd in the PS2 and it will play the cd while you drive.

If you want to stop the race though you have to put the game disk back in.

REZ (by SEGA released on PS2 & DC in Jan) will mix music, shooting and flying simultaneously into the gameplay. Genius.

Dave Mirra 2 had some good tunes - Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, Gangstarr and Sum 41.
