I just think it's stupid, what's the point, try out as many games as you can on as many different machines, play what you like, don't play what you don't like but why criticise other consoles?

It's pointless and childish.

Changing the subject:

I do actually love Nintendo consoles and games, especially in-house ones, but I can't get excited by old games getting converted yrs after release on Playstation 1/2 and being sold at full price when the Ps1/2 versions have long gone down to budget price, and Ps2 owners are already playing the sequels.

Wipeout, Resident Evil, Crazy Taxi, Burnout, THPS 3, etc...

So I suppose I'm slagging off Nintendo there, they aren't perfect, and have repeatedly been found guilty of price fixing, get releasing and people will buy!

I personally think price drops, and the big new releases are exactly what's needed right now.

I remember my old sega magazine doing an article on sonic vs mario. Didn't get a good reaction though, I think.
Ah, the roots of fanboy lameness. I get the impression that kind of crap is pretty common in gaming magazines now. Probably a good way to keep readers, make them hate the rival console so they keep the same make, and hopefully the same magazine.
Don't know who's lamer - them or the fanboys who lap it up...

I was always quite fickle though. *Looks at cube* :^)

For me, it goes way back to the school days when some kids owned a SEGA and others owned a Nintendo system. I was one of those who was brought up on a Nintendo system and for some strange reason because of this I could never love a SEGA system as much. I don't mind buying SEGA made games though, infact I absolutely adore some of their creations such as SONIC and Virtua Fighter, but it's just when it comes to the hardware I just can never be dedicated. Maybe way back in the 80's and 90's Nintendo flashed us with subliminal messages during there advertisements that planted the seed of hatred for SEGA.

Don't see anything wrong with slagging a console off, so long as it's justified. You dislike something, why keep it to yourself?

So long as it's justified, obviously. Nobody likes the fanboy pap.
