the game looks like a great game, with all the best characters.

Apparently you can play with Luigi and more characters, from the start. Another good thing is that Link will look how he should be for the new Zelda adventure!! But hey, maybe there's still time for Shigsy and co. to change Link around! It hasn't hit the shops in Japan or the US yet, s mabe there is still time!!

naa toad will not be a character just something that peach throws at people etc. I can't wait smash is going to be my first game because it will be a launch game..

Namco are develloping for the Gamecube and are giving it Soul Calibre so there's no reason why Tekken won't find it's way.

I've heard NOTHING about a Tekken game appearing on the GC, unfortunately. But it has been made for the GameBoy Advance, that's definite! But is a beat-'em'up really gunna be that good on a tiny screen?? Nintendo should get it 'Cubed'!!

Do we know for sure if we are getting Tekken though? I didn't think it was confirmed...

Anyway, who can argue with all those Nintendo mascots all under one roof... or even all in one game...

I wouldn't compare it to the likes of Tekken and Virtua Fighter.

Tekken and Virtua Fighter are beat 'em ups.
Smash Brothers is a platforming beat 'em up.

They're not really comparable but in my opinion, Smash Brothers is far better as it relies on spontaneous skill and quick thinking rather than learning strings of button presses for "special moves" and "ultimate combo's".

Still, we'll be getting the likes of Soul Calibre and Tekken as well, so it looks like we'll be getting the best of both worlds - the serious beat 'em up AND the platforming beat 'em up.

Sony have 'Tekken', Nintendo have 'Super Smash Bros.'. It may sound poor in comparrison, but haven't you always wanted to see who's REALLY the 'greatest plumber'?? Or if Kirby can do something better than just 'suck' and move quite slowly?? And what about if Link came face-to-face with Bowser!!! The only way you'll find out is by playing this game!! This is something Sony and Tekken don't have!!

Anyway, no-one would care about a fight between Croc and Crash Bandicoot!! And what's so interesting about Eddie, Angel, Devil and co. going head-to-head against each other?? Yes, it may look realistic, but that's been done many times before (Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter...). Nintendo come up with something 'original' (SSB Melée) and it's an automatic winner!!

The princess is playable and i think that toad is
