The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Your post may be a little tricky as Freeola's T&Cs don't allow chat about other hosting services - so don't be too surprised if your post is removed ;¬)
I hadn't heard of GBBO, but after some looking around I can see many others aren't very happy with the service and the restrictions that are in place even though the first year is 'Free'.
My advice would be to perhaps think about transferring your domain to Freeola then you would have complete control of it. Freeola don't charge for transferring a domain in but FYI they do for transferring out.
I'm a big Freeola fan with well over 100 domains registered and hosted with them. I also use Freeola's Broadband service which works well for me in conjunction with their 'standard' hosting. If you don't connect via Freeola there are some restrictions so you should have a read up on how things work!
I hope this helps :¬)
[s]Hmmm...[/s]EDIT:
NB I'm just a Freeola customer I'm sure a Freeola staffie will provide an official answer for you :¬)
can freeola offer free hosting to a domain name registered with gbbo?
Good evening and welcome to the Forums .... maybe this will be of some assistance:
"If you wish to use your domain with a 3rd party web service it is possible to point your domain towards a new host. If you wish to point your domain to a new host please submit a request with the relevant details. As per the terms and conditions of the Google domain registration each business is entitled to only one free domain name through the GBBO Site."
