*sticks no smoking signs on everything*, You lot are now banned from smoking in this public forum. You're also banned from smoking in offices, garages, resturants, pubs, brothels and so on (except outside, in the rain). If you do smoke, you'll be fined £50, £2000 if prosecuted and convicted by a court. And businesses will be fined £2500 if they fail to comply with the ban.
This is all in the effort to save 600 people a year said to die from second hand smoke. It's also to cut down on moaning by people who come home stinking of fags all over their clothes.
Machie's ViewI don't really care if people smoke, just as long as they don't do it around me or young children. I've always had a hate-hate relationship with smoking when I was a child and my parents smoked heavily. As I've mentioned before, my parents wouldnt stop their habit until it was too lately. That came true when my dad died of lung cancer. He wished nothing more than to have lived a life without his cigars. Since then my mum hasn't touched a ciggarette, I only wished my two brothers would wise up too.
Your View On The Smoking BanSo what are your views on the bad? Apparently some people are worried that with the smoking ban, it'll mean the demise of the traditional pub. Do you agree with that?
A survey by Real Ale, suggests that millions of regular drinkers would actually go out more to pubs and bars after the ban. Listing several hundred thousands who currently don't go to pubs and bars, willing to finally do so.
Are you a smoker? Will the ban encourage you to quit or smoke less? Do you think this smoking ban is a good idea and will generally improve everyones health?
But yeah, too much can lead to trouble... :D
> Would you let someone smoke around you kids @ngel?
No, if people come to my house they go outside. If i go to peoples houses, they smoke in a different room. There has been times they have left the room though and stupidly ive neen holding one of the kids and followed them to talk to em. DOH!

Your View On The Smoking Ban> So what are your views on the bad?
I dont really know my views on it anymore. I dont mind smokers, i dont mind been around people who smoke. However thats my choice.
As for banning it from places, again thats more to the point on how it effects a smoker. I dont smoke so it does not effect me at all.
Think about how many years people have smoked in public places and look at what year we get the ban.
Everyone harks on about health issues, but everything seems to becoming bad for us. Whats banning smoking... So there not going to smoke in public place. People will just smoke else where. Not going to give up.
People who dont smoke, will prob have some other kinda habit, Drinking, drugs, eating junk, etc...
There will be something else soon enough thats gonna go for a ban, or do our health no good.
The list will be endless...
