We are Planning to attack Hellvellyn, the Highest peak in the Lake District, a number of routes to the summit are available, the exact route will be decided in the next week. The Overall Ride is approx 12miles, and we would be starting from Patterdale / Glenridding at about 09.00am, its about 1.5hrs from Preston.
We will also have a backup Plan, should the weather look a bit iffy.
PS. This ride will Involve a small amount of Pushing !!

Not Outlook Express, Outlook. There's a distinct difference. Outlook causes problems if you attempt to use it with old settings as loaded from a PDA. It's also extremely difficult to create new settings to sync with the PDA.
Outlook won't work, and to be honest I wouldn't be happy about having to buy a new updated version of the programme.
XP is a refreshing change, but worth the money?
Suprising really, cos I hate Billy Goat, I mean Bill Gates.
In response to what Ant said, I've not had any problems at all with Outlook, infact, Outlook Express 6 which came with XP on my computer works fine! No problems at all!
Older hardware is bound to have problems running on a new O/S as it's not been designed to be compatable with it. Look for hardware that has "Designed for WinXP" or similar on the box. My Camera works fine, my microphone isn't working properly yet, though Time Computers think it might be faulty itself and are going to phone me tomorrow instead of my paying £1 a minute to contact them, my Joystick, printer, monitor, GeForce-II 3D Card, most my old games, etc, etc all seem to work fine.

Tosh?
Fraid that my opinion of XP is extremely low having dealt with a whole host of problems regarding it. Unless you've really used it inside out and tried installing a host of older programs/new hardware, you won't have had problems with it.
Of course there are ways around these problems. You ignore them, and use another piece of hardware/software. But from the point of view of someone who's trying to fix a problem rather than work around it, it's a nightmare.
XP is an update so of course it will have benefits. My point of view though is to advise people not to neccessarily rush out and spend lots of money on it. A little further down the line when new versions are released (eliminating some of the current problems) then maybe it'll be worth it.
