Everyone has been asked it “what’s the best game ever”. And most people would say Metal Gear Solid, and I would probably agree, for the simple reason (that most people don’t realise) the game, along with others has revolutionised console gaming forever. For that the reason its why its not the best game ever because not one game can revolutionise gaming. For example Sonic along with Mario changed the gaming world as we know it, more to the side of Sonic because of the bonus 3D levels. A massive step to the PSX, Gran Torismo and Crash Bandicoot and the game that made survival horror games what they are today; Resident Evil (some say its Alone in the dark, but its rubbish compared). Then the N64’s massive hit Mario changed the way we play platform games and the highly impressive James Bond Best game ever (haven’t played the new one yet) Goldeneye. Then the dreamcast (although now nearly dead) Shenmue has changed what we can come to expect of console gaming. And now the masterpiece that is the PS2, not exactly revolutionary games yet more like just sequels, but we wait for MGS2, but in the meantime we will play the all time greats like GTA3 and Gran torismo 3 and Smack down 3 and... well the list goes on and on and on.
