When it comes to science I'm happy to say that I'm not the most clued up person in the world. Yes I knew enough to pass at GCSE level, but I didn't much care for it, so haven't retained a great deal of information. But I am pretty sure of one thing. Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

I'm right with that, aren't I? They can't?

So why do the majority of people that are shopping at this time of the year not understand this pretty basic law of physics? Why do these peopel think that if they just keep on moving they'll be able to pass right through anything in their way? Do they really not understand that they must go around other people and objects? Why do they continue to shuffle forwards, when there is nowhere to go?

Because it's 100% useless...

Think about it. Newton's law says objects continue at constant velocity when the external net force is 0. SO WAHT!!! I reality everything has friction, and so doesn't move forever.

It's more useful to say objects have a natural state of rest... complete rubbish, but far more relevent!

For the same reason why people shout and complain when animals are killed in films. And not humans.
