I bought a N64 scart just recently, nothing special, just a plain old SCART lead. But I was starting to wonder when I was plugging it in that normal SCART leads don't normally have three colour wires plugging into the back of an 8-pin adapter. Isn't it surposed to be a 20-pin adapter? The picture quality seems to be 4% better than a normal aerial connection. Tell me I havn't been swizzed?

If I have, does anyone know where I can buy a real BRAND-NEW scart lead? They seem to be in short supply.

I've bought an RGB SCART lead in the past and have been told that UK N64's don't give out a RGB signal so there's no point going for one of those.

Is a RGB and S-Video connection of the same quality?

There's VGA too...

Not sure it's supported by the cube mind...

And that new one, begins with C, very high quality.

S-Video is just S-Video, then you can get 21pin>21pin RGB SCART (just cause all the pins are there don't mean it'll be RBG, need a suitable input and output), then there's rubbish SCART (quality same as your bog standard co-axail video-out).

Are these all the possible connections... S-Video SCART/ Normal SCART/ RGB SCART, and a AV connection?
