Xbox slipped another 5%, a fact that has surprised many given the much-heralded launch of Xbox Live last week, and the media attention it gained.

I would win.
Perhaps..

Did seem a little harsh. Who are you? Whitestripes?
;^)

right, chill out ("you mong")! like i said, i wasnt sure who was ahead. but im sure of one thing though, this dixons thing wont keep the sales of the cube rising for a good long time. this recent boost in sales is (for the most part) only because of the price drop.
5% is all well and good but i though the general consensus was that xbox was selling better than the cube, in the uk anyway. that means that more than 5% would be needed to bring the cube into second place. or is that right (i hope it isnt)?
and that thing with dixons and currys... it should boost the sales and prob did but what will happen when all the console units are gone? the sales will no doubt drop. and its not good that nintendo has two major retailers less to sell their console.
amos.
By attaching technical requirements for broadband to the ad campaign I figure it'd have put quite a few people off. Plus broadband uptake isn't that great anyway.
Add to that the low cube prices and prospective buyers have pleanty of reason to choose Nintendo.
