Late last night when i was ment to be sleeping and dreaming of girls i was awake and thinking instead. I was thinking about gaming in the future i bring this up beacuse for the last 10 or so years i've been gaming games have gone from sprite based platformers to fully 3d enviroments with loads of places to explore.

Racing games have gone from outrun which i thought was amazine as you can change the radio track to GT3 with almost photo realistic look to the cars.

i've heard game music go from simple bleeps to full CD soundtracks with real people signing ect.

So i was trying to imagine what the games will look like in 10, 20 or even 30 years, will we be able to tell a game from a TV program? will all films be based around games instead of games based around films. what new generes will be inveted?

when i was 9 or 10 playing street fighter 2 turbo i had no idea what my room would be like in the future. No way could i of predicted that i'd have 2 PC's in my room networked or be able to surf the web and chat to people all other the world let alone play against them. And no way could i of imagened that i would have digital satellite tv and be watching films off a disk (DVD).

Sometimes i get excited just by thinking about what could be next. not just console wise but general technology wise.

But amongst all this excitement i also hope the games stay great and that new ideas will come along all the time. i mean at the moment there are so many games that could be done now which would of been impossible years ago. games like GTA3 and Shenmue.

So what do you guys think will happened to gaming and other technology in the future? what types of games do you think they'd be making in the future?

now i'm off to get excited about something else. i wonder if men could understand how women's minds work in the future so we don't muck up so much? who knows
