It's strange how some people say they use an RGB connection for the UK N64 even though the UK N64 doesn't give out a RGB signal, but I heard that it's possible to modify the N64 so that a RGB SCART lead can be used on it. But how do I do it?

I read up about this and it terns out the RGB signal for the N64 was disabled in all countries so you have to get inside the N64 and modify it before it can work with an RGB lead.

Yes, I'm sure it's an RGB cable.

And yes, I'm sure that it works.

Obviously a problem your end, then.

It's just the picture quality of my present AV connection seems very 'faded' and 'indistinct'. I want the best or the second best connection possible for my N64 but I havn't got a clue what that is.

I got my Gamecube lead and plugged it into my N64...

It works...

Then my N64 analogue lead works with my Gamecube, and we all live happily ever after...

Also, I hate to go on about this but does an N64 S-Video lead produce the same picture quality as a RGB SCART and normal SCART lead?

I have a NTSC compatable TV so I don't know. Maybe your RGB cable isn't really RGB?

I plugged my RGB scart cable into the back of my Unmodded PAl N64, stuck in Majora's Mask and it worked fine.

Coming to think of it, though, the TV is NTSC compatable, so I guess you might need to get a new TV rather than modding your N64...
