So Lee Bowyer is found not guilty of all charges while Jonathon Woodgate is found guilty of affray. Bowyer is a free man while Woodgate gets just 100hrs community service (where he will probably be allowed to train kids at football instead of clean the streets).
What does all this mean to you and I ?. This whole episode (two trials) has cost the taxpayer an estimated £15million. What a waste. How many operations could have been performed with that money ?. How many extra police offers could be on the beat with that money ?. Remember - the whole Sarah Payne investigation cost just over £2million, but at least it resulted in justice and one very sick individual locked behind bars.
As far as the England team is concerned it is good news. Bowyer has the quality to perform at International level and could prove vital in next summers world cup.

Bowyer was FOUND innocent but i think he was guilty.
Imagine him with a group of mates who have been drinking, they think they are the greatest things on earth and because of who they are they wont get in big trouble.

I don't like Lee Bowyer.
You can tell from his attitude on the pitch, and his facial expressions that he is a thug. I can just imagine him beating up an Asian, and I'm glad Leeds put him on the transfer list.

I am not a leeds fan in fact i dont really even like leeds (FC).
But i think it is outrageous the way the papers are attacking lee bowyer at the moment. Whether or not you beliee justice has been done doesnt really matter but is an issue for the courts. What is the point of having a not guilty verdict if the papers are just going to attack him anyway. I bet if i went down the Pub in the strand or wherever newspapersbase themselves these days DURING working hours i would find more than one journalist under the effects of alcohol or in a not to good state. I feel it is unfair for the Papers to be so hypocritical as they are blatantly no better themselves.

I think the 2 deserve A LOT MORE then what they got!!!! 100 hours community service is the biggest joke i've ever heard!!! What if he had murdered him?? Would it be 200 hours or 500?? Or is that too harsh for a footballer!! After all it only could've been murder!
Have all footballers recently been added as relatives to the Royal Familly or something?? And they therefore get let off? While an average man gets several years for the same conviction as 'the ghost of Elland Road'(Woodgate)!!

He and his familly must be absolutely furious, due to the 'pathetic' ways in which the 2 guilty 'footballer' parties have been delt with!! CAN YOU BLAME THEM!!! How would you feel if you're son was put into intensive care, and 2 footballers were even locked up for 5 seconds!! At least one man got what was coming, but TWO are still allowed to roam free!
