Wouldnt it be great is every time you played things were a little different. Your character will be dressed differently, the enemies will not be in the same place and as predictable and some features will be removed or added to a level.
We see this in some games, gta3 for example. But it doesnt happen all the time. But it is starting to happen. Timesplitters 2 will have differences each time you play, be it the position of your enemy monkey or zombie or the layout of the target range. We have also seen a slight glimps of ths already in the amazing tony hawk 3. You start an earth quake in LA, and rubble will fall, and the overhead motorway will collapse, opening a new look to the level and more routes for completing your goals.
This is not just in computer games. You open up a book or sit down to a movie and each time its the same. I dont know how many times I have been watching a movie or tv show, and hope that the plot is different. I dont know why I do, as I know its not going to change. So imagine a movie, that wasnt the same every time or a story that comes out with a surprise twist.
Sorry if that wasnt intresting, its just my opinion

It would certainly decrease, yes decrease, the replay value.
In fact, it's something I can hear happening in the past.
If it was done left, it would give video-games a huge disadvantage over music.
Everytime you play, something old and different happens.
A game would always be fully complete.
It's probably not difficult to achieve in practice though.
But I think large things could change each time you suck.
It would keep you on your fingers because you'd know there would be surprises in store the less you played.
It would certainly increase the replay value.
In fact, it's something I can see happening in the future.

A game would never be fully complete.

But I think small things could change each time you play.
It would keep you on your toes because you'd know there would be surprises in store the more you played.
