I've just read this morning's Service Status item on 'formmail' and Error 500:
"Formmail / Sendmail issues 13/6/11 10:24 AM"

Are there any more details on this please?

I've just tested a standard Freeola formmail script and a 3rd party one (Tectite) and they both worked normally.

I take it this is something different than the 'Error 500' -f flag item:
"Unlimited Web Servers and VIP Hosting 29/3/11 6:09 PM"?

As per my post, all looked ok.

The Status Page item mentioned an 'Error 500' being displayed so it sounded like there could have been a problem.

.....might have been a false alarm.......

It looked as if the forms were submitting correctly, but in all the tests we completed the emails hadn't arrived within a 'normal' timescale, so we passed it on for investigation, and put something up on the site so customers were aware of a potential problem.

All of the test messages were ultimately delivered, though it took around an hour or so for them to arrive.

It turns out the only real issue was our (read 'my') impatience - everything was and is (currently) working fine!

No one around :¬(
