Metal Gear Solid. Damn....
Apparently it lets you get all the way to the end credits then freezes up before you get your ranking.
The only other game I've heard for sure that isn't backwards compatible is MGS Special Missions.
Know any others?

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is not compatible with the PS2 - Shame cause I actually liked that game!!
yeah shame about mario i tried to get street fighter in it i pushed and squezzed i eventualy got it in and it made this nice sounding cliky crunchy sound and i turned it on and it smoked for a while and now it won't go on at all. i took the game out with a hammer and chisil but it doesn't work at all now any ideas?

I e-mailed Playstation Customer Service in the UK asking them for a list of games that weren't compatible. I sent it off about two hours ago. Wonder what their reply will be?
ResEvil and a friend made some sort of cheat type thing that allows you to play MGS Special Missions. It should be in the "older topics".
Last year there was a list of about 10 games that weren`t compatible, and they were listed at IGN. Doubt they`re still there though.
