This is just a RUMOUR at the moment which seems to be spreading fast, it could be true!!! but from next week Nintendo are going to change there start up sequence in games so the freeloader will not work anymore, they are fed up that gamer's are importing games cheaper and getting them 6 months earlier (it had to happen). Also the Zelda Bonus Disc's are under threat as well, Nintendo are saying that they do not want them leaving the USA and European Gamer's will have to wait!!! This seems to be the case for anyone who has ordered from Dvdboxoffice, for some reason, lets hope this isn't true, and it might be time to import US Cube's (good job i have) :(

If Nintendo did that, then I would expect a Freeloader V1.07 to be released :D

Datel are finding ways to get around systems all the time. People said they wouldn't be able to do it with the Xbox, yet the Action Replay is in development, which indicated Datel have found a way.

I'm sure the Freeloader program takes only a fraction of memory on the actual OD, so for Datel to add a bit more to their programming wouldn't take much. But for Nintendo to fiddle with their GameCubes...now that's another thing.

Hmm. I thought Ninty didn't particularly object to the import market. I wouldn't have thought there are enough freeloaders around to be a big problem.
I know they refused to help datel with the production, but you could justify that as it's not a great quality product, below the standard you'd expect from something with nintendo's support...

But if they changed the start up sequence, then US gamers wouldn't be able to play the games on their consoles....

As long as they don't do this before the end of this year, I'm fine.

In which case, I guess you guys would have a hell of alot of refunds coming your way if you can't play all those games.

Or eBay sales will rise dramaticaly over the next xouple of weeks...
