so people what you think about x-box or microsoft i'm askin all consoles so i can decide which to get?
The xbox's launch software is as good or better than the PS2 2nd genration software so the only way Ps2 is going to compete with the xbox come launch in the Uk is through the price difference and also some other exclusive games that will be out at the same time or quarter.
But ADH, Sony did EXACTLY the same thing with the PSx... where do you think all the second parties come from? Only difference is that MS's buys are all reallly really top developers.

Yes, but appart from that and the ninty games the range isn't huge. Saying that, I love ninty games, so I'm getting thr GC!

I think Microsoft are excellent at reading the market and planned their entry into the gaming world perfectly.
They know how to go about making money, and in all honesty feel they'll have some good ideas about how best to position themselves at the top of the gaming 'mountain'.
In my personal opinion though, they're too much. Wanting to Monopolise the market, and control the way the entire industry works. I know it's a slight exageration, but I don't agree with trying to buy out any company just because of a successful game.

It has superb third party support, a hdd and modem included and looks to be a good piece of kit...
The PS2 has a lower price, just as good a range and quality of games, and will have online gaming soon enough :S...
And the GC is going to have first party ninty games, so you can't go wrong with that...
It's a tough choice, but it seems a majority of developers are siding with the PS2/Xbox due to its larger target audience. So either of them will keep you busy. However, GC has some cracking exclusives... like a complete remake of the Res Evil series.
Personally, I've got a PS2, and will prob get a GC when I have the money. Not to say Xbox isn't as good as the PS2... I just couldn't wait!
