I've not played the game yet (should arrive in the next day or two), so I can't really comment on whether I'd agree with it.
Still, although it's not very well written, he does seem to understand what the game's trying to do, and he just doesn't like it.
Just his opinion, so it's fair enough. It's just a shame that as a reviewer, his opinion seems contrary to pretty much everybody else's.
