I think the game rocks and will be played over and over anyway. Just like games used to be! DMC is like all the arcade game fantasies I had as a kid rolled into one super game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still on mate ;-)) Just claimed my gameaday and now I'm just cruising on the message board for a little while ;-)

Better go soon I guess, actually quite busy tomorrow - preparing for the arrival of she who must be obeyed ;-))

Told my mate I'd help him create some characters for his Smackdown 3 game too. He saw mine and he was like "You gotta help me with mine ! Yours are cool !" ;-))

Thing is, Devil May Cry doesn't just end on beating it on the normal setting. You get access to other modes when you beat it on hard so there is replay value in it. I've gone through it twice so far but I still love the game.

When I bought MGS on the PS1, it didn't take me long to complete it but I played it again and again. I think I must have gone through it around 15 times. Some games can become a chore to play through, but others will always keep my interest. A habit I've had over the last couple of years is to play like 3 quarters of a game, then I get a new game that I can't wait to play and end up concentrating on that. Then when I go back to the other game I end up not remembering things I needed to know or have just forgotten key parts of the story so I have to start from the beginning again. This was how it was with games such as Final Fantasy 7 and thats not the type of game you wanna start again on loads of times.

Thats why I haven't played my Silent Hill 2 yet. I wanna get through a few other games first then go onto that one when I can give it my full attention.

But anyway, I think its important nowadays for games to have rewards for players. Not so much through massively high difficulty cause that just frustrates players and puts them off anyway. I like to play a game with various difficulties so that I can play through easily or give myself a challenge depending on what kind of mood I'm in. A lot of us have our bad days and the last thing we want is to switch on our PS2's and get our butts kicked. Some of course don't just want to cruise through either cause that just brings the game to an end. Thats why I think other elements are important to keep our attention nowadays. If its a beat em up - we want loads of characters to unlock and their endings to see. If its a game such a DMC, then maybe give us special weapons to use the next time we play through or different modes and maybe mini games.

There seems to be a thin line of what a player wants when it comes to difficulty nowadays, which is why all the bonus stuff to unlock is so important.

i agree with the "quality not quantity" quote. but there is that feeling of disapointment when u r playing a damn good game and complete it in a few hours, u just want to be able to play the game more. thats were i think games will benifit when u can play them online. (ive spent more hours playing counterstrike than i have doing anything else) (including breathing!)

If you gain enjoyment from anything, then you will always see it as good value. That's why some pieces of art sell for millions of pounds, yet all they do is just sit there on the wall doing nothing. For me, a picture is something you look at and say, "Oh yeah... quite nice." and that's it.

People will pay millions for a Picasso, yet as I don't gain any particular pleasure from art, I wouldn't give you more than a tenner for anything he did. It's all relative.
