I'm developing a site which includes a web shop and uses a PHP script to handle the form data. When the form data is entered by the customer and the form submitted the site fails with an "Error 500" The data in the form is sent to the address specified in the form successfully but the customer is left hanging without knowing where to go next, and unable to complete the transaction. The site has been built using Incomedia X5 and works faultlessly when hosted on another free hosting provider. Why not on Freeola? Are there any limitations on the "Free" Freeola web services which could account for this? The form is here if you want to try it, I'm sure I'll receive the data but you will not get an automated reply.

Glad to hear you are getting somewhere :¬)

The '-F' change in Freeola formmail scripts was a recent change.

I think I'm somewhere near a solution, I got some help from the Freeola support team, many thanks to to Matthew, and was advised to remove some code ( "-f".) from the imemail.inc.php file I was using. This seems to have atleast sorted part of the problem.

Hi BMWBOB and welcome to the forums!
I'm guessing the site in question isn't the one in your profile?

'Error 500' is often caused by a configuration or permissions problem - so it's worth checking you've got your script set up correctly.

I guess it will need a staffie to see what the problem may be from the details you've provided.

You don't say who's form script you are using - I use and can recommend Tectite's free formmail script - which can do just about anything! But I'm not sure if the form is part of your online shop from your post?
