Also, if your playing on a level with water, always build ships, they're great, but the cruiser's try they're best to destroy your buildings while defending it, so get them as far away as possible.
You talking about RA! or 2? + skirmish matches or the actual game. I'd play you but RA1 doesn't use I.P. address' anyway...
protecting your base doesn't get much better than a load of rocket soliders (30+) but they don't like nuclear weapons or tanks running them over, other than that just buy loads of tanks and turrets or tesla coils, bigger the tanks the better.
