I'm studying Chemistry right now, the section on fuels. I knew it all before but I'm going into all the hydrocarbon crap... you know alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aldehydes, blah blah.
Anyway it just struck me the "human race" to put it one way is buggered.
Coal, Oil, Natural Gas... all infinite resources... with what 100 years top for oil and coal? Natural Gas estinguishing in about 75 years.
Well what?
Do you remember last year, the fuel blockades? Remember what it was like... most things came to a standstill, talebacks etc... well thats what is going to happen, because people in the world have their heads up their exhaust pipes.
Alternative fuels?
Lets see, you've got Nuclear. Does the job, but dangerous and polluting. Most of plants are being pulled down.
Wind, Solar, Thermo, Hydro... all work and are renewable and non polluting although the energy given out is low... although that is not helped with oil companies slipping money into politician's pocket.
Its time for the world to wake up... just think of what energy and materials are wasting everyday... we need elctricity to do most things in life and fuels to travel. Of course they think they'll have it sorted out and when the time comes it will hit the future generation...
