I pick up my haggard rucksack and trundle into the wash area.
Half-heartedly I splash water over my face, and squeeze the last globule of toothpaste out of the tube.
I go into the food area and search through the cupboards and find only enough cereal to fill half a bowl.
I cram all the biscuits I can find into my pockets then head out to the meeting point.
8.00 - Upon arrival I see 5 or so weary faces staring at me. Hunched from the weight of their ruck-sacks, they solemly stand. The odd conversation is initiated, but most people are quiet. Contemplating the day ahead. Contemplating the battle ahead. Transport arrives. The troop clambers aboard. Morale is low.
8.00 - 9.00 - More recruits are picked up. Each one looking more sleep-deprived than the last. Fear keeps them going.
9.00 - 12.00 - Three hours of battering, I head to the food bay with the rest of the lads. Tired from the fight, the troops pick there heads up at the thought of food. When it arrives, it's not up to standard.
01.00 - 04.00 - Todays battle is over. Heads aching from the days confrontation, the guys catch the transport back to base camp, hoping to catch a bit of TV, or maybe a little Metroid Prime.
05.00 - Hassle from CO, I head to my room. Tired from the daily gring, I hit the hay to lick my wounds.
Just another day at College.
