We all have computers. We wouldn't be on the forums without one (or at least, not easily).

But what sort of setup do you have and where is it based?

I have a Packard Bell PC with a lowly Core2Duo E6300 and an ATI Radeon HD (forgot which model, but it's 2GB). Everything is based in my 'study' area, which also houses a PS3, my Blu-ray and DVD collection and all my books, as well as an old Video Recorder and DVD for copying old home videos (still haven't managed to get through more than 10% of those).

Hopefully soon to have a Mac Mini to add to this and expand my site for Mac App Store coverage.

I'm not sure we really need the extra RAM, I've only really played Total War games and Company of Heroes on the PC and they run superbly. To put it into perspective, less than 2 years ago I was using an XP with 512 RAM.

Really should have 4Gb RAM in that SC. The Q8300 wasn't a patch on the Q6600 - this was a CPU to beat all CPU's :¬)

There are now two PCs and a laptop and one XBox in the household - others have left for new environments. (Just remembered, there is one PC in the attic).

My 'beloved' is a hand-built Core2 Quad (Q9550), Asus P5QL m/b, Asus Triton 81 Pure Copper Base Ultra Cooler, 9800GTX+ Nvidia Card, Vista 64 bit Home Premium etc etc etc :¬)

It is based in a 'small' corner, to the left of the wardrobe complex in Mrs DL's boudoir - printer is actually in one of the wardrobes!
