Match 1: Tag Team Match: Scotty Too Hotty And Albert V Test and Christian : This match started off quite slow but then got speeded up with moves like the Big Boot, Albert Bomb and the Worm. Quite a humorous match, Albert trying to be ‘hip’. :D Ended in a Win for STH and Albert with an Albert Bomb and pin to Christian.
Match 2: Single Match: Edge V William Regal (Intercontinental Title Match-up) : Quite a boring match-up. Nothing special, ended in victory for Edge with a roll-up.
Match 3: Special Guest Referee Match: Matt Hardy V Jeff Hardy (Special Referee: Lita) : Average match, all the way through you could see what was happening. In the end Jeff won with a pin even though Matt had his foot on the rope.
Match 4: Tag Team Match: Kane and Big Show V The Dudley Boyz (Tag Team Title Match-up) : Quite a hard hitting match-up. A bit of humour when the Big Show ‘spanked’ Stacy Keibler :D Ended in a win for the Dudley Boyz because of Kane and Big Show arguing. Quite a good match-up.
Match 5: Hardcore Match: The Undertaker V Rob Van Dam (Hardcore Title Match-up) : One of the highlights of the evening, loads of death defying moves from ROB-VAN-DAM. Loads of good moves executed and a good use of weapons. Undertaker picked up a win after a Chokslam off the titen-tron into 2 tables then a pin.
Match 6: Single Match: Trish Stratus V Jaqueline (Womens Title Match-up) : Very boring match-up. No good moves, no interference to spice it up a bit, very boring womens match-up.
Match 7: Single Match: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin V Kurt Angle (World Wrestling Federation Championship Title Match-up) : Good match-up, ended how everyone thought it would. Some good moves were used, very technical match with the use of the Ankle Lock. Stone Cold took the win and goes onto the final match-up.
Match 8: Single Match: The Rock V Chris Jericho (World Championship Title Match-up) : Brilliant match-up. Loads of good moves used by both wrestlers. Technical moves were used a bit, Sharpshooter and The Walls of Jericho. Huge twist at the end when Jericho picked up the by interference from Vince McMahon and a Rock Bottom, one of the best matches I’ve seen a while.
Main Event: Single Match: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin V Chris Jericho (Undisputed Championship Title Match-up) : Another excellent match-up with two of the biggest in the business. Loads of good moves used. In the end Jericho tapped out from a Walls from Austin but there wasn’t a referee so it didn’t count. Booker T hit Stone Cold with the title and Jericho picked up the win to become the first ever Undisputed Champion. What a match-up.
Good Bits:
Albert dancing.
Big Show ‘spanking’ Stacy Keibler.
Two brilliant twists.
Jericho winning.
Bad Bits:
Womens title match.
A win with a roll-up.
Final Score: 9/10
A bit let down by the Women’s match, but that just made the Main Events even better! One of the best events of this year that really gets you back into the WWF spirit without having to think about the alliance. Quite a breath of fresh air. Also Ant will be glad to see STH in an event. ;)
