This Christmas was one of the biggest I have known for video-game releases in all of my life. Over the past few years all it consisted of was the release of sequels to the previous years' decreasingly good games. However, this Christmas was the first major release of games for more than one system. The Game Boy Advance is still in its first year, meaning that all the quality titles which were scheduled 'coming soon' are out before Christmas. Doom, Warioland 4, Spyro, Chu Chu Rocket, the list goes on and on. There were many games out for the Game Boy Advance that were real quality titles, and some of which I couldn't afford to miss. Now that most have been released, I am only sitting here with Warioland 2 and Doom, but am happy that I have managed to get them along with all the other games which I wanted.

Then comes the PlayStation 2. This Christmas is the make or break moment for Sony. With the price drop, this is the big Christmas at which millions of people will purchase their PlayStation 2's. And so, the PS2 needs amazing titles to warrant purchases of PS2s. Jak and Daxter, Devil May Cry, GTA3, SSX Tricky...
There are absolutely loads of games, and for avid gamers like me, most of them are good enough to warrant purchase. However, there are just so many that for many of us our options are just restricted to 1 or 2.
Luckily, most of the games have been released by now, and I have come through with most of the games I wanted, but not having paid extortionate prices and not having been left wanting. However, for Sony this is make or break time, and because of the massive array of software released, a 'make' is looking very certain.
