silent hill 2 is defininetly not an enjoyable game, its torture.

SH2 is proper psychologically scary though. Like The Cube, there aren't really very many definably scary moments in it, it just eats away at you as you play, literally turning you into a nervous wreck until the sound of your own footsteps scares the living crap out of you. The S-Force technology really works as well, generating a convincing surround-sound effect from normal stereo speakers.
I literally can't play it for more than 4 hours until I can't take it any more and need a reality check. THAT's how disturbing this game is and why it gets my vote.

SH2 right now, but SSX:T comes close. 3rd would probably be GTA3.
in terms of horror it has to be silent hill 2 (it has to be the scaryest game ever in history), if u play this on your own at night when your home alone you diffently need a nappy.

The best Ps2 game yet is probably Devil May Cry, though I'm sure Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is going to take this position when it comes out in the UK.
