Does anyone know of where I can buy a new GBA case?
My girlfriend spilt nail varnish remover on it and has melted the plastic (including the battery compartment so I can't get the batteries out)

I believe he was referring to the Shell of the GBA.
You have to get them off Nintendo. They'll probably ask you to send yours in and they'll replace it with a small charge.
Some shops offered warranties for the GBA. If you bought warranty it might be worth you going back to the shop you bought it from and getting a replacement.
