We all know and love the Championship Manager series as the best football manager series around. And i'm sure it will always be, for years, even decades to come!! But one thing that annoys me, and i'm sure a lot of other people, is the fact that you have to pay the full price (usually £20+ at the least) every time the new version for each season is released. Wouldn't it be easier to release an update for each season as an expansion pack (like The Sims)??

The expansion packs could be released in stores or as an on-line download from their official site. Packs could save many people much money, about half as much as the full game. I have posted this on the official Champ. Manager site, and I'm awaiting a reply.

What do you think of this? Do you feel the same away about spending so much on a new season? It's just not the same playing last season's while all your mates have the new one.

Yeah the Champ games when released do feel a little different, but not enough to again charge us 20 quid. But i surpose cause people will still buy the game at 20 quid then why should they charge us less. I know i may not like it but i'll still pay the 2o quid for the games just cause i want the new one!!

i personally am a champo addict and buy the new ones the day they come out. Each update does feel like a new game because there are different layers to buy and you get bored of the old ones because you get into routines and buy similar players every game. I used to think the same way but if you think of the price of other forms of entertainment , eg a trip to the cinema or a round of golf or a book 20 quid will last you nowhere near as long so champo is good value when you look at it like that.

I tend to buy an update once every couple of seasons. I'm quite happy to keep a Champ Manager game for a couple of years before I have to update it.

Plus, once i'm into a game and have been managing a team for 5 years, I don't want to have to start again with new stats.
