After countless years of keeping people from getting fit, and going outside, game characters have earned their day off, but what would they do in this day off…
As Sam Fisher shot his last terrorist for the day, and David Beckham scores his last goal for some unlikely team in FIFA 2003, the game studio lights turn off and our favourite game characters go home for a well earned rest. First out of the door is Sonic of course, and he is followed by the hundreds of our idols that make our lives. As the last Resident Evil zombie leaves, the gamers look desperately around the TV for their beloved characters...
As the large group of super hero’s and super villain’s walk out together without a single fight breaking out, a slight panic is sweeping across the real world as they have been departed from their game buddies for almost two and a half minutes now.
The first of the game characters, including Lara Croft, Dead or Alive girls and Dr. Robotnik head towards the beach to catch some rays, while others like Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails and Crash Bandicoot all go down to the local golf course were they hit balls with golf clubs... which is similar to what is happening in the real world as now, every gamer is running around with a golf clubs destroying all SR shops, looking for playable games.
Now that the first five minutes of the games holiday have been passed, the characters are finally starting to get into the habit of moving on their own free will and doing things they like, such as Solid Snake doing yoga and Cloud Strife playing bingo. But as the characters start to enjoy the day off, the gamers have a totally different look at the whole situation; In the UK all SR shops have now been burnt to the ground, and 'Game' shops have started to become victims to the vandalism; In the US, people have reverted back to native American ways, and started putting feathers in their hair; In other parts of the world people are having a two hour silence to remember those who have gone on holiday.
As the holiday comes to an end, all the game characters say good bye to their loved ones and head back to the studios. On the way back a large noise comes form the studios and shook the road. Sonic goes ahead of everyone to see what had happened. When the rest of game characters caught up with Sonic he was in shock, it seemed that the lack of gaming meant that a group of people decided to end the suffering and create an atomic bomb which would destroy the Earth, little did they know that if they had waited another one minute and thirty seconds gaming would of returned to the world.
