Is it just me, or does the gba look exactly like a skinny game gear with boosted specs and novelty tilt sensors?

OK, maybe the GBA does look similar to the Gamegear but Sega only released it to compete with the GB. BUT how else are they going to use L and R buttons and have room for a wider screen?
