The government is proposing a new initiative (if that’s what you can call it), UKOnline, I say we take it one step further, UKGamers.
A call to arms goes out to gamers across the UK, as we form our own party, UKGamers. Do you lot fancy it? Areas we would concentrate on are the NHS, Transport, and Education.
Firstly, the NHS. We would make it compulsory for every hospital to have all the next-gen consoles and the latest games at our bedside. If you’ve ever broken your leg, you’ll probably have to spend a lot of time in a hospital bed, and playing Super Monkey Ball would only speed up the recovery process.
Next, Transport. Game Boy Advances on every bus to make those hour-long journeys pass in seconds (and take your attention away from the smelly person sat next to you).
Finally, we look at Education. Let’s teach these kids at an early age the difference between a good game and a bad one. Let’s show them the Playstation isn’t the only console out there.
Let us join together my gaming brothers, for together, we are strong.
As I said on FB, you can join any ride with as many mates as you want ;)
All our routes are cross country with some hard work in the climbs but well rewarded with some long rolling DH sections :)
We normally publish ride details on the night before the ride taking into account weather conditions.
The rides also have plenty of opt-outs in case of injury, mechs or depletion of energy lol!
Watch the ride section Sat night for this Sundays details.
I have been pointed in this direction by Paul via Shane who is a good friend of mine. We have both recently got back into off road MTB after a long time...
We have bought basic entry level hardtails (Carrera Fury's) to get us started and have been spending our money on decent equipment for the trails and went off to Gisburn last weekend to do the full Red route to see how we got on ... enjoyed immensely and now I'm looking to ride more often which is hopefully where you lot come in ... *;o)
Will try and get along to the next ride out!
Cheers,
Scott
