"Essa Rios Released From His WWF Contract"

As the WWF begins to cut down it's massive roster, many wrestlers are becoming worried, especially developmental talent. Well, this past week, along with a long list of developmental talent, Essa Rios was released from his WWF contract. Here is part of the list:

- Jimmy Yang
- Kid Romeo
- Lash LeRoux
- Allan Funk (Kwee-Wee)
- Elix Skipper
- Reno
- Essa Rios

Many more are expected, especially at places like Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Yeah, that move he used to do where he flipped over the turnbuckle to the outside and landed right on them was pure brilliance.

I never rated Essa as a luchadore as much as I do Rey Mysterio,The Great Sasuke, Jushin Liger etc.

Essa would have probably been taken off TV anyway without this. I can see why many wrestlers are becoming worried. Light - Heavyweights aren't around much anymore. They're being taken off TV and are giving space to big stars like the Rock and Y2J. Shame really because many of them are very talented.
